  1. SUMMARY:

Marketing Finance Manger role will serve as a trusted partner to Marketing leaders, be responsible for providing end-to-end FP&A support Marketing organization ensure that the organization’s marketing spending is effective and efficient. will also be the key interface between Marketing Finance and Corporate Finance function for budgeting/planning of Marketing programs.

  1. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Takes a leadership role in driving data accuracy, standardizing assumptions, questioning discrepancies including standardizing templates and reporting formats.
  • Develops financial models and completes analysis to support brand initiatives, in a consistent fashion.
  • Drives research, analysis and reporting of key brand drivers, trends and performance indicators
  • Evaluates investment opportunities for financial return and strategic fit working actively with brand leads, marketing services and agencies.
  • Proactively manages marketing budget holistically and strategically
  • Develop tools and resources to drive insights related to budget allocation, attribution analysis, and financial reporting which will guide decision making
  • Review and advise departmental budget preparation with individual managers
  • Responsible for supporting actual and forecast Marketing spend reporting including analyzing monthly variances between actual results, current forecast, plan, and prior year.
  • Serve as a business partner for the cross functional teams on accounting and finance related questions. This will involve the ability to assess business needs, resolve risks and opportunities in a timely manner, and clear communication of issues/business results to Management and Brand Finance groups.
  • Manage updates to the monthly forecast for brands based on spending changes. Work cross functionally with Brand and Marketing teams to understand the changes and ensure accuracy. Actively communicate changes to business partners by providing specific, actionable and forward-looking commentary on the various changes as well as guidance on potential risk.
  • Contribute to month-end/quarter-end close activities to ensure completion of assigned tasks, including identification and resolution of issues utilizing our financial reporting
  • Assist in developing management reports through functional knowledge of the following systems: BPC, Power BI, and Business Intelligence
  • Participate and/or lead various finance wide projects.
  1. Qualifications:
  • BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, Economics or similar quantitative discipline; MBA preferred
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of FP&A experience supporting marketing organizations, ideally at a high growth media, tech or entertainment company; strong preference given to applicants with e-commerce backgrounds
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to analyze large amounts of data and maintain complex financial models; demonstrated proficiency with advanced functions (index, offsets, arrays, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of financial and accounting statements, concepts, and principles,         specially income statements and various ROI methodologies (NPV, IRR, and payback).
  • Bias for action, with demonstrated ability to meet competing deadlines while managing multiple projects
  • Exceptional analytical skill, with a passion for metrics and data; ability to apply in order to influence and drive effective decision making
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
  • Excellent communicator and collaborator across multiple departments. Practices a service-oriented business partnering approach and excels in relationship building across the organization
